How To Prepare For Surgery

Preparing for Your Surgery/Procedure

  1. Schedule your preoperative clearance appointment if applicable. If you are 70 years old or have a history of heart problems, an EKG must be performed.
  2. Arrange for a driver on your scheduled surgery/procedure day. Please understand that surgery times are not formalized until 48 hours prior to your surgery/procedure date and are subject to change, so arrange for a driver with flexibility.
  3. You will receive a text and or email from Wilton Surgery Center to complete your registration. Please complete your registration as soon as possible and have a list of your home medications available when you complete it.
  4. If you do not text or email, or are unable to register, you may receive a call from nurse the day prior to your procedure if we need any additional information.
  5. You will receive a text message or email with any cost associated with your procedure. If you have a question regarding your financial responsibility or would like to make a payment prior to your procedure, please call (203) 563-9470 ext. 100.
