Dr. Gregory Haffner brings exceptional credentials to our team at New England Retina Associates. He graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. During his time at Yale, he received the prestigious Marvin Sears Award for Excellence in Clinical Ophthalmology.

Following his residency, Dr. Haffner pursued further specialization by completing a fellowship with New England Retina. His performance during the fellowship was remarkable, and we are proud to have him as a valued member of our team.

Dr. Haffner’s expertise has been recognized nationally, as he was voted one of “America’s Top Ophthalmologists” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. He actively contributes to the advancement of the field through his involvement in clinical trials focusing on macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusions.

Dr. Haffner holds a fellowship with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists. His commitment to excellence is reflected in his board certification in ophthalmology.
