Mary W. Tam, MD, is a distinguished ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataracts, minimally invasive glaucoma and refractive surgeries. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Subsequently, Dr. Tam pursued her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and Doctor of Medicine degrees at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Tam completed her transitional year internship at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Following this, she undertook her residency at Stony Brook Ophthalmology in Stony Brook, New York. She was selected to be a chief resident during her final year of residency. Throughout her residency, she demonstrated a commitment to substantial research endeavors in ophthalmology, working closely with esteemed professionals. Following residency, she pursued a Cornea, Cataract, External Disease, and Keratorefractive Fellowship at the renowned University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
